A New Vision for the Work of Salvation

HERE THEY COME…
Missionary Broadcast
June 23, 2013 via Provo MTC

"Increasing numbers of youth have responded to a prophet’s call, hastening the growth of missionary work. As members and leaders, we have the same opportunity to find ourselves in the
Savior’s work of salvation."
"There is a way for everyone … to participate in this great work. We can each find a way to use our own particular talents and interests in support of the great work of filling the world with light and truth."President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Go see the videos from the broadcast they are
well worth watching.
Or you can go to the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints website here.
The times have changed since I served my mission in El Salvador, it was relatively easy to get into people's homes to teach the gospel. But as the world changes people are less likely to let strangers into their homes. So proselyting is a little more difficult and dangerous. The internet will be a more powerful tool for proselyting; finding new converts and helping inactives to come back and enjoy the peace and happiness the gospel brings.
It is so exciting. The internet has become such a beautiful and powerful source to share the gospel with all the world.
I am so grateful to be part of something so amazing. The gospel is spreading throughout the world. More and more of Heavenly Father's children are coming into the fold of God. I have a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Spanish Branch Picnic

Nothing better in the world

There is nothing better then spending time with my Spanish Branch family. We have so much fun together. It's so hard to not see everyone come out to these activities, because it's like we are missing part of our family. I have enjoyed very much getting to know everyone in the branch. I have fallen in love with all the children in my primary. I love being part of their lives. We had a blast. Hamburgers, hot dogs, & watermelon!
We all met under the canopy of the Ed Grenfell park, while the kids played in the river, the adults enjoyed good conversation and a rowdy game of touch football.

Arggg: It's a tumor

My Newest Accessory

Yea its a patch, not a permanent patch though. It's just til I have surgery. I had an MRI over a week ago, where they found a tumor in my sinuses right behind my eye. So it's pushing against my eye, causing pain and discomfort. It is especially sensitive to light, hence the patch. So I have been spending my summer inside a dimly light house. Super fun! Luckily I have an appointment next week to set a date for surgery. Woohoo. I am gonna get my eye back!

I have a million and one projects that I have to do involving the use of my eye. Difficult to take photographs without the use of my right eye. So hopefully soon I will be as good as new.

But for the time being if you see me with the patch feel free to give me a good ARGGG!

A little lady bug partied hard!

Happy 4th Birthday Olivia

Olivia announced that she wanted a lady bug birthday party and since the world revolves around this adorable 4 year old, we all agreed and planned a fun party for her. I spent an entire day working on her lady bug tutu. Which by the way is sooooo adorable. Thank you very much.
All her little friends came and the played and ate and opened presents, they had a great time. All should sleep well tonight. Especially us adults.
