Colonial Days

Colonial Days in Orem

After our early morning of hot air balloons and donuts, we loaded up the cars and headed to Orem for Colonial Days. Where people wore traditional clothing and camped in tents and were basically living as they would have in the old days.
We watched basket weaving, lace making, bread making, and many other really cool things. I am soooooo glad that we don't have to live like that any more. I am grateful for technology. Seriously I wouldn't survive.

Hiking the mountain

 Saturday Morning Fun

We spent a beautiful Saturday morning in the mountains close to Mt. Timp. We had so much fun. We climbed up and up the mountain and then all of a sudden it opened up into this amazing wide field. We at lunch, played sardines in a can and then headed back down the mountain. Maren was in charge and carried her clipboard all the way up and back. Calling role as we went. It was rather cute.
Afterwards we went for milkshakes and came back home to change for swimming.
