NO One understands what I am going thru

Thursday, November 23, 2017 0 Comments
How many times do we find ourselves saying those very words?
NO one understand what I am going thru.

I know I have said it a gazillion times. Probably a dozen times yesterday. But then I go to Winco and I observe a world full of people shopping for whatever it is they need. I don't know if the women with four small children is buying bread because the cupboards are bare.  I don't know if the little old man is buying a tv dinner because he lost his wife to cancer. I don't know if the teenager buying soda is being bullied at school. We all live on the same planet, we all face challenges, we all get sick, suffer pain, deal with loss, have failures, and sin. We all have the same Savior. He has felt every bit of those things. He understands what we are going thru, more than anyone else. We can turn to Him for comfort and peace.
We can also turn to our loved ones to help us thru tough times. We all need to support and help one another.
I am grateful for my Savior cause he has taken my sins and my pains...I just need to repay Him by being obedient.

"There is no physical pain, no spiritual wound, no anguish of soul or heartache, no infirmity or weakness you or I ever confront in mortality that the Savior did not experience first. In a moment of weakness we may cry out, 'No one knows what it is like. No one understands.' But the Son of God perfectly knows and understands, for He has felt and borne our individual burdens. And because of His infinite and eternal sacrifice.

( Alma 34:14: And behold, this is the whole meaning of the law every whit pointing to that great and last sacrifice and that great and last sacrifice will be the Son of God, yea, infinite and eternal.)

He has perfect empathy and can extend to us His arm of mercy He can reach out, touch, succor, heal, and strengthen us."

The last week of the Savior's life

I was so lucky to have found this great script, for the last week of the Savior. I revised it and also translated it into Spanish,
well with the help of Hermana Villalobos.
It is so amazing. I wish everyone could have been there. I love this time of year, when we celebrate new life, and especially the life, death and resurrection of our
Savior Jesus Christ. He has done so many things for me. I am forever grateful to Him. I try to give all my energy, my talents, my abilities and my time to Him. I love my life it is so full of wonderful things and people. I am grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. To have a prophet and apostles guiding me in this time in history.
I'm so lucky to have the temple as a constant reminder that life goes on eternally & I will be with my husband and our family forever.
The Savior did all that for me. He gave me all that.
I'm the luckiest person I know.
Happy Birthday & Resurrection Jesus!!

Help is inside of us

Each new member of the Church needs friendship, a responsibility, and nurturing with
“the good word of God”

"And after they had been received unto baptism, and were wrought upon and cleansed by the power of the Holy Ghost, they were numbered among the people of the church of Christ; and their names were taken, that they might be remembered and nourished by the good word of God, to keep them in the right way, to keep them continually watchful unto prayer, relying alone upon the merits of Christ, who was the author and the finisher of their faith."(Moroni 6:4).

We can help new members by befriending them, serving alongside them, and sharing our testimonies with them.

"What does it mean to be a true friend?"
To me a true friend is someone who
loves unconditionally. Someone who doesn't care where you came from, or what you have done but sees who you are and where you are going. Our Savior is one of the truest and most compassionate friends we have. And we can each be that kind of friend to our newest most fragile testimonies. I know that we can each be a good friend to a new member of the church. Invite them into our homes, and to our family home evenings. Let's make sure their testimonies grow stronger by being the very best example of the Savior.

"Why is it especially important for us to be good friends to new members of the Church?"

Preparing for substitute parenthood

A NEW Adventure

A few months back Pacer and I decided that we wanted to start the process to become Foster Parents. We had our first training yesterday at DHS. It was such an emotional, eye opening day. I have never really known anyone in foster care, or has been a foster parent. I have been living in my safe little bubble of a world.

I guess the only word I can use to describe how I am feeling about this whole process is terrified. Not about the children that I will have in my home, not for the birth parents whom I will have constant communication with, not what others will think. But about whether or not I am going to be a better example, have loving arms to hold a scared child, will I have the patience? The unconditional love that these children so desire and crave? Will I be able to let them go at the end of their time?
CAN I EMULATE MY SAVIOR?

I can only imagine how he felt when he had all the little children around him. How he looked into the sweet angelic faces and loved them with a love that is so difficult to comprehend.
I want to love and care for these children. I want them to leave her feeling that they are not unwanted, unlovable, terrible children.

The Light

Sunday, October 02, 2011 0 Comments
I love how light effects the darkness. I have been extremely fascinated with this concept for the past couple of years, as I have researched and explored the world at night.
I love what light creates, the shadows, the shapes and especially when it illuminates an object, or some kind of subject. I love how it makes the subject stand out from the darkness around it. I sometimes feel like that subject being surrounded by so much darkness, whether it be worldly temptations, doubt, disappointment, sadness or loneliness.
But there is a single ray of light that shines down on me from above, that lifts my spirit and gives me hope. The light of God, He knows me, He loves me, and He has not forgotten me. I am grateful everyday for His Love, for His guidance and for His patience. I know that He will not forsake me. He will walk beside me, He will hold my hand and lift me up and help me through those dark times, being a constant light. The Light of
His love will always be with me.
