Rolling skatin demons!

Friday, January 03, 2014 0 Comments
Oh to be young
I remember when I was sixteen years old, I owned these white quad skates with hot pink wheels and hot pink shoes laces. I was dancing queen on those suckers. I spent my evenings on the rink, playing with the boys. We had so much fun. The rink was our second home. Friendships were made and built solid.
But nothing, nothing prepared me for skating in my late 30's.
I'm sooooooooooooo not 16 anymore.
Pacer had a doctors appointment in Portland so I decided to surprise him with a date to the skating rink. So we get there amongst a few tweens getting ready to celebrate the night away for a birthday party. We giggled like little school kids. After putting those super sexy brown skates, I imagined in my head, getting up and rolling gracefully off and impressing my husby. YEA it didn't go that way. It was more like watching a dog in skates, so not graceful. And my word the pain in my hips. I am so not a spring chicken, nor any other season of chicken.
We had so much for the whole half hour we there. We came home to lay on the couch and watch movies....more up to our speed.

Our Beautiful Christmas tree

Christmas in the house

I love Christmas time, the smells, the sights, the sounds, but this holiday season seem to fly by. I feel like I blinked and it was gone. My husby and I have been sick with the flu and sinus problems since Christmas day. It was a bummer, but it gave us the opportunity to just relax and take a load off. We celebrated the New year with a good deal of rest. SO I think we are done for quiet awhile.
It was a real blast to have family here for the holidays. I will be posting more about that later.

It was so very sad to take down the tree, my husby had to do it. I was to attached to take it down. But this beautiful evergreen lasted the whole season, strong, and green. It sits outside of the house, as a reminder of the marvelous holiday.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

A big giant F

I love to blog, but I have proven to be not very good at it. 2013 proved to be a very busy year. With my calling as Primary President, my day care and converting into a preschool, my photography and graphic design business, and then lets take a look at all my hobbies… teaching myself to crochet, baking, arts and crafts, sewing, and of course lets not forget candy crush!
I just wish there were more hours in the day. I love my life, my family and especially my husby and our little furry family.

Ok so the photo is improtu, we are in our jammies and forcing the animals to hang out on the bed all together.

We have so many things planned for this year. So keep an eye on the blog. 2014 is gonna be a good year. I can just feel it.

Halloween 2013

I had fun with my preschool kids on Halloween, we ate witches brooms, ghoulish apple mouths, and banana ghosts. We made fun Halloween art and the kids went home with Halloween candy bags. Then I got lily and Camille ready for trick or treating. I picked up christian and Olivia and we went downtown to third street to find a crazy street filled with ghosts, and goblins, and all sorts of creativity. It was a fun day.

I'm so excited for this new year coming in primary we have 9 kiddos getting baptized. So I decided to do the eight is great program. I created these really cool binders. In them it has all sorts of information for the kids. Like the faith in god program, scouts, questions about baptism. It was really a good experience for the kids. All the kids and their families came to the meeting and then afterwards we had a baptism of another little guy in primary. It was pretty awesome. I was so happy about the whole event.

Sushi date night

We decided it was time to check out the new sushi restaurant in town. The sushi was bar was really cool. I had never been to one like it before. You sat at your table and wait for the food to come by you on a conveyor belt, as it's being made fresh by sushi masters. You take what you want. It was all very yummy. I tried new things and was surprised at how delicious it was. It was also very cost effective. I love date nite with my husby. We always have so much fun trying new things.

Christmas tree hunting 2013

Black Friday is never a time for mall madness. We always go christmas tree hunting. This year we got out of bed even earlier (830am) and went to my parents house to have a delicious french toast and sausage breakfast. Afterwards we loaded up and headed out to the christmas tree farm. It's really so fun to see the kids running around with excitement and pure joy. They really understand that christmas is a magical time.

It didn't take very long for us to find our tree. Shelby had a lot of fun running around the trees.

Yea our eyes were bigger then our space. But we had fun decorating.

We purchased a small Charlie Brown tree and decorated it up, once we knew the hermana missionaries were safely home, we dropped the tree on their doorstop and doorbell ditched. It took a few knocks but they finally came out to see their pretty little tree. It was fun to surprise them. But everyone needs a christmas tree at christmas time.
